Ander Herrera ‘wants to stay at Manchester United‘ and is keen to thrash out a new deal with the club instead of moving to Barcelona for free in the summer.
The Spaniard’s contract is close to expiring and United are desperate to tie him down to a new deal before the end of the current campaign.
And according to reports in ESPN, Herrera is of the same opinion and does not want to walk away from Old Trafford for free.

Barcelona tried to sign the 29-year-old in the summer, and are still keen on a move when the next transfer window opens in January.
Barca boss Ernesto Valverde is a huge fan of the midfielder following their time together at Athletic Bilbao, before Herrera moved to United for £30million.
Herrera has only made two appearances so far this season, and missed the 1-1 draw with Wolves on Saturday with an ankle injury.

Manager Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the Spaniard though, and has stuck with him throughout his tenure despite the addition of several other midfield personnel.
Mourinho brought in Brazilian playmaker Fred during the summer window, but was still keen to hold onto Herrera for the versatility he offers the team.
Talks between United and Herrera’s representatives have occurred over a two-year contract extension, but thus far nothing has been resolved.
