Ravel Morrison turned down huge foreign offers to secure a surprise Premier League return with Sheffield United.
The talented midfielder has penned a 12-month contract with an option to extend his stay at Bramall Lane beyond the end of next season – a package that manager Chris Wilder described as a ‘deal that suits all parties’.
The contract is not understood to be on a pay-as-you-play basis, but will reward the gifted 26-year-old if he can break into Wilder’s first team on a regular basis.

And Sportsmail can reveal the Manchester United academy graduate, who was a free agent after his contract with Lazio expired, rejected far more lucrative financial offers from clubs in Europe’s top leagues in order to re-establish himself in England’s top-flight.
Morrison’s decision to turn his back on foreign riches underlines the former England Under-21 internationals determination to rebuild a successful career in the Premier League following four years away from England’s top division.
The ex-West Ham man is also said to have been hugely impressed with manager Wilder during initial discussions towards the end of last month – another key factor in Morrison’s decision to snub a move abroad.

And Wilder has indicated he had no reservations about signing Morrison, who spent last season on loan at Swedish side Ostersunds, after meeting the 26-year-old.
‘I’ve spoken to a number of people about him and it is clear that he has serious ability,’ said Wilder.
‘We are getting a fantastic footballer with a tremendous pedigree and this is a great opportunity for Rav, we believe we can help him get back to the level he wants to be.
‘He’s done extremely well during his time with us. It wasn’t about him coming and being on trial because we knew about his abilities.
‘Taking him with us was basically getting to know him and what he’s about, what makes him tick and how he integrates with the players.’
